Harvard Africa Trek Ghana and Nigeria 2023

As the Co-Chair of the Africa Caucus, Chiedza initiated the annual Africa Policy Treks, to Africa which provide Harvard students from all over the world an opportunity to experience Africa for themselves. This year, a group of 64 students from 24 countries visited West Africa- Ghana and Nigeria. Many of the students on the Trek were visiting Africa for the first time. While the continent still faces challenges, Africa has made progress in the past decades and is well positioned to become a significant player on the global stage; a story least told.

The Trek focused on governance and leadership; culture and history and business. Students met several  business and government leaders including the President of Ghana His Excellency Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo.
